Using Sun Tracking
To those that have set their blinds on schedules, you may have noticed the toggle switch at the bottom right when creating an event.
When you toggle the switch over, sun-tracking will be enabled for that individual event. Sun tracking can be enabled or disabled on any scheduled event.
How Does Sun Tracking Affect Scheduled Events?
Sun tracking uses an algorithm to adjust the time of day the scheduled event actually happens to match the "light preference" of when the the event was initially set. For example you may set an event for your blinds to close at sunset and if you enable sun tracking your blinds will continue to close at sunset all year long following the constantly changing sunset time.
Sun tracking is also useful for events that occur mid day. You may have a glare come through your window during the spring at 3:00 and you want your blinds to adjust to keep the glare out. As summer approaches the time that the glare comes through the window will gradually be earlier every day. You will want to set an event at the time the glare comes through and turn on sun tracking to adjust the time of the event to keep the glare out.
